„With 85% of post-consumer textile waste ending up in landfill, extending a product's lifespan by just nine months can reduce its environmental impact by 30%, according to the WRAP Design for Longevity report.“

We need to use our garments longer. To do this, we need to start at the very first step: Designing a piece that has value, consciously sourced from high-quality material with minimal impact of the planet. We need to design a useful product with timeless designs. But hey - it is fashion und and it undergoes constant development - we also get bored very easily and we change sizes. Attāin Studios knows that.

In the coming years,  our plan is to set up a secondhand shop for Attāin Studios pieces. Then, you can send us your used garments and someone else is able to buy it here on the website.

We will also offer a Repair & Care service in the future, so that you can wear your favorite pieces longer.

We are also thinking about renting our items for a short period of time. Maybe you’ve joined a new  fitness group, need to catch up on a 30 days yoga challenge, or are planning a yoga retreat or sports holidays.

Tell us your NEEDS!

What should I do with my worn garments?

Especially the Covid-19 pandemic has made everyone more conscious of the waste they produce on a daily basis. Post-pandemic, we need to move towards a waste-free mentality. However, we gain and lose weight, our bodies are constantly changing, or sometimes we just want another color - and that’s ok!

By focusing on the three R’s ‒ reduce, reuse and recycle ‒ brands need to cut down the production of waste and move towards a more sustainable economy. Therefore, Attāin Studios avoids overproduction and leftover fabric, because most of the CO2 emissions are due to fabric production. Attāin Studios garments are timeless, long-lasting and environmentally friendly, designed with reusability in mind.

Now you:

Only 1% of all clothing is recycled — let’s do something about that! But what?

To be honest, there are not too many options for recycling a fabric which is made of a mix of different materials. At  the moment, it is only possible to recycled mixed fibers in a few rare case. Unfortunately, most of recycled garments will be end up as cleaning rags, as building material, or incinerated. But, like for our ECONYL® Fabric, we need to add elastic fiber to make an innovative, aesthetic and useful product.

Ultimately, the core of circularity isn’t take-back programs, but rethinking how products are conceptualized to begin with. We need a shift of the fashion industry. Most likely, it will not be a cradle-to-cradle system in the fashion industry, but it will be mixture of different components: repair services, clothing rental, and the development of new technical materials made from reused and recycled resources. Attāin Studios will keep an eye on new, upcoming ideas, tests, trials, and failures to inform our design and production. Because this is how we grow.

But, luckily, there are a few options, what you can do:

  • Resell - there are many options and platforms where you can re-sell your worn Attāin Studios garments.
  • Donate - I highly recommend to bringing them to your nearest Red Cross or Oxfam Shop. But, please make sure the garments are washed and in a good condition. Otherwise, you’ll just wasting someone’s time.
  • Repair - there are a lot of things you can easily repair. If you don’t want to do it by yourself, the tailor just around the corner will be happy to help you!
  • Ok, I get it - the piece is worn out or broken, and you just want to get rid of it. Throw it into your trash bin. Hopefully, in the future, we can offer a return system to keep the material in a circular network.
